Comprehensive School Plan

At Kramer Middle School, we work to make sure every student feels loved, challenged, and prepared to positively influence society and thrive in life. The whole community will embrace that education is the key to everyone's success. In School Year 2017-2018, Kramer Middle School’s leaders and staff are focused on four big areas:
  • Social Emotional Learning: To improve our student satisfaction by 5 percent, we will implement community circles, positive rewards and student recognition, improved afterschool clubs and programs, family home visits, and more.
  • Literacy: To increase the number of students scoring proficient and/or advanced by 5 percent and decrease the number of students who score below basic by 8 percent, we will implement effective lesson planning, writing across all content areas, and fluency and vocabulary development aligned to our curriculum.
  • Numeracy: To increase the number of students who score proficient or advanced by 5 percent, and to decrease the number of students who score below basic by 8 percent, we will implement effective lesson planning, use student work to enhance teaching practice, and develop a process to break down math word problems.
  • Extra Support for Students: To increase the number of students scoring proficient and/or advanced by 5 percent, and to decrease the number of students who score below basic by 8 percent on the math and reading assessment, all students who need extra support will receive math and reading intervention.
